Makhosi Foundation is a sacred space where ancestral wisdom guides the exploration of indigenous healing arts. We curate gatherings rooted in diverse traditions and lineages, fostering a harmonious connection with nature, ancestors, and human dignity. Our mission is to nurture a brighter ancient future by promoting the sacred power of ceremonial prayer and creative expression as a form of ancestral reclamation.
We carry within us a living library of sonic sounds sourced from the ways our ancestors communed with nature to transmit sonic frequencies. Culturally, we view songs as a spiritual art form where the songs are teachers transmitting proverbs, uplifting emotions, and generating creativity. Through our gatherings, we weave in the songs of our indigenous elders and the ancestral stories these songs carry. We are the carriers of songs, tones, and sounds that set the stage for ceremonies, sparking love and nurturing wisdom into our immersive and collective experiences.
Our highest intention is to be of service by reuniting individuals with ancestral practices and bridging our ancient wisdom with the collective creation of togetherness that supports the web of life, which we know as Ubuntu.
